GE's controls team was conducting engine tests and tasked me with finding a new and better way for them to gather and plot engine data. I discovered that what they were doing in sequence could be done in parallel. They were gathering data during engine tests, and then after testing was done they would load all data locally which could take upwards of 4 hours and then generating plots could take another 2 hours. Over the course of my internship I developed a PERL script and a UI that allowed data and plotting to occur while they were testing. This doubled the efficiency of the engine test team and allowed controls to focus on more important work. I was also responsible for creating documentation for all tools I created and constantly made sure that my tools where easy to set up and use.In conjunction with this overarching project, I also helped create the plot packages for the Senior Engineers to report their engine findings. I was able to utilize by CS and scripting background to search for ways to efficiently gather all plots from the database and present them in a compliant way.In addition, I was also able to attend multiple lessons in engine mechanics and gain a deeper understanding and appreciation for the engineering that goes into lifting people up and bringing them home safe.

I personally designed the layout of connector boards to be used in the testing of Raytheon's radar capabilities. I was responsible for the rework of multiple boards and created the associated blueprint drawings for a new PCB assembly. During this internship I had to think quick on my feet as one of my projects was to complete a change for a circuit card done by another company. This layout however was riddled with errors and I discovered that the company had used outdated artwork for specific components. To rectify the situation I worked closely with the component engineers to fix the clearances of the PCB and finish routing the design.Ultimately I was able to gain a hands on experience for the construction of PCBs from schematic to layout, all the way to fabrication.

I owned the hiring process for BlueStamp's in-person and virtual staff for the summer of 2022. Over the course 5 months, I vetted over 200 candidates, screened technical skills, and conducted behavioral interviews. I worked closely with the co-founder of BlueStamp to hire a well-rounded and diverse group of instructors, and grew in my confidence to manage a project/process to its completion.

Led classroom instruction of 15 high schoolers in the basics of system design, circuit topology, and Arduino programming. Developed class plan for instruction and aided each student in constructing their own unique robotic/IOT project such as a gestured-controlled vehicle, phone-controlled robotic arm, Computer Keycard device, and much more.Over the course of the summer, I developed the skills necessary to entertain and lead classroom activities effectively despite the challenges of teaching remotely.
