Starting with a Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering degree (with a concentration in Structural Engineering and a minor in Engineering Management), and continuing with experience at medium to large general contractors, Mr. Oliphant is grounded in engineering and the management of projects from inception to closeout. Since 2013 he has held certification in Project Management (PMP) and certification in Reliability Centered Maintenance (CMRP). Mr. Oliphant has been owner and president of a medium sized construction firm, managing every aspect. He is a team builder and mentor who believes that a strong team is the essential foundation of every project. He helped develop a program to train Project Managers in scheduling best practices. He has completed OSHA 30 training and other safety related courses including Confined Space and Lockout/Tagout. He has managed numerous large facility projects while at NASA, including Building 131 Modifications (Cells N and P), the SLS Test Load Facility for Ground Support Equipment, Building 103 Apron Repair, Saturn Boulevard and Barge Dock Repairs, Barge Dock Lip Capacity Upgrades, Drainage Rehabilitation, and Road Rehabilitation to name a few. He is proficient at Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office, Maximo, AutoCAD, and other business related software packages.
