I am a postdoctoral research assistant at the University of Edinburgh, primarily interested in the formation of the first objects in the universe such as (the now) supermassive black holes, proto-galaxies, and the so called PopIII stars. I analyze data from large simulations to develop mathematical models for how the early universe behaved, how its composition evolved and what we should expect the faintest objects to look like in the next generation of observational surveys. This involves the use of parallel computing on high performance clusters, advanced Python libraries for data analysis as well as in depth knowledge of the radiation, hydrodynamics and chemistry solvers being employed.I am also fluent in C, Fortran and Java. My research career so far has required me to collaborate with an international community and to apply varied approaches to tackle challenges, as well as developing a quantitative mindset to problems.
