As a tour guide and tours and events office staff member I have been able to utilize my learned skills and develop to assist prospective students and families in their college decision making processes and aid in planning meaningful campus events for incoming students. As a tours office staff member I work closely with my peers to collectively plan events on the UC Santa Cruz campus that will allow incoming students to feel welcome. I also greet families for tours and am in constant contact with potential students by answering all their questions and allowing them to express each of their concerns and address them.

As a first year peer advisor for the UC Santa Cruz Honors College, I guided new students through their academic experience. I created a welcoming environment by planning bi-weekly fun events for students to attend and feel comfortable asking questions. I did weekly outreach to my students to check in and monitor their progress. I provided all necessary resources to students based on their needs and concerns and directed them to the proper locations. As a peer advisor I also held weekly office hours for students to drop-in at for advising and guided them through the UCSC honors college program.

As an Executive Store Intern at Target I learned how to be an effective manager through staff connection, open communication and by taking decisive action. This internship allowed me to understand how to manage each store department of Target from Human Resources, to backroom processing. Target's internship allowed me much independence and taught me much about my leadership abilities as I was able to closely work with each store manager to assist managing their departments. In this position I learned the importance of having an inclusive work environment and how to make meaningful connections with staff members while accomplishing all necessary tasks in a high volume and heavily trafficked store.

Ranch Manager of a cage free dog boarding facility. Cared for all dogs, and cleaned the premises. Assisted all clients, responded to emails and phone calls. Drove shuttle services from Crestline to Los Angeles and Orange County. I ran all trials, which was to make sure a dog had the right temperament to stay with us to keep all staff members safe. I worked closely with the property owners to make sure all business needs were being met and communicated those needs with all other staff members. I created staff schedules by communicating preferred shifts with staff members. I mainly worked independently and had great time management and was able to complete more than all necessary tasks.
