I am a neuroscientist with a multidisciplinary background in Cognitive Science, Mathematics, Biology and Philosophy. I am interested in how the brain integrates perceptual and motor information to create an internal model of the world. I have recently defended my PhD at the University of Oxford, during which I studied how the auditory cortex learns to relate movements to its sensory outcomes. For my postdoc at UCL, I will combine in vivo electrophysiology and laser scanning microscopy with innovative behavioural paradigms to study cortical processing during sensory-guided behaviour. Outside of the lab, I am a keen cyclist, an enthusiastic science writer and educator, and a passionate advocate of open science.

Research InternUniversity Of Oxford Jan 2016 - Apr 2016Oxford, Oxfordshire, GbDoing research on sensorimotor integration in mouse auditory cortex within the Auditory Neuroscience Group, under the supervision of Prof Andy King and Dr. Johannes Dahmen. Mice were trained to actively modulate auditory feedback through a novel sensorimotor task, and the neural responses to sensorimotor perturbations were measured in auditory cortex using two-photon calcium imaging.
