I am a ULL graduate in Professional Land and Resourse Management in 2015. I completed an internship with T.S. Dudley during which I spent seven months gaining valuable experience conducting numerous task that helped to facilitate the leasing process for oil drilling operations in Union Parish and Claiborne Parish. Due to layoffs within the company I continued pursuing a career in residential and commercial building. I was hire on by Arete Acquisition, a mineral and royaly acquisition brokerage company. I spent three years absorbing as much information as possible and learning things like the process and research it takes to calculate a fair offer price to present for the resources we as a company were negotiating to purchase. I also developed an understanding of how to interpret the various legal documents that deal with the transfer of mineral ownership and royaly rights. I have found that I have a talent for piecing together chain of title with careful due diligence. A year ago I was furloughed from Arete due to the dramatic price drop in oil. I am currently working as a construction supervisor but my heart is still drawing me back to landman work.
