This role really enlightened me to the value of being able to balance both a strong individual work ethic while engaging in collaborative teamwork and communication. On the job site, communication was not only key for efficiency in completing a project but for safety as well. Holding myself, as well as those around me, accountable for completing the tasks.

In this position, I worked closely with North Minneapolis community elders in youth mentorship, urban gardening, and community development. The job required on-site problem solving, resourcefulness, lesson planning, and utilizing varying forms of communication.
