I have worked at BT Flex for over two years and during that time I have worked on several campaigns. For the most part during my time at BT I have worked on residential campaigns, speaking on a regular basis to members of the public. that you don’t know what is coming next; it certainly keeps me on my toes.I have also worked on commercial campaigns where I would be talking to business customers alongside campaigns which would relate to the internal workings of the company. During my time at BT I have been handpicked to progress to new campaigns to BT Flex on four separate occasions which I am very appreciative of and I believe this was because I am a dependable member of the BT Flex team who can be relied upon.BT Flex is a contact centre which is designed to change the operating model of their centres. It is designed to be flexible and adapt to the business needs of their clients and as an advisor I would, and have been asked to help with a separate part of the business usually with 1 weeks’ notice but in some cases, just a few days’ notice as well. This is something I fell has made me more adaptable and willing to embrace change in a challenging and fast paced environment.

Sony Centre Newtownards and Belfast – in this job role my title is Sales Assistant; the core purpose of this job is selling products through customer liaison. Other duties include, checking stock and keeping up to date with all latest technology, not only from Sony but from other competitors. Stock takes and standard work tasks also had to be completed, i.e. cleaning, purchase orders and point of sale (POS) creation. I have familiarised myself with databases, finance systems and Electronic Point of Sales (EPOS) systems through my employment here.Customer service skills have been developed through this job as a lot of customer interaction is required in-store, on the phone and electronically.I have also been entrusted with key holding responsibilities for both stores for the last four years.This job started on a Saturday after completing a successful week of work experience through my attendance at Glastry College.

Jim Shannon’s Constituency Advice Centres (Newtownards and Ballywalter) – the job role I had encountered was mainly secretarial; through this I would have been liaising with members of the public and members of different government bodies.The programs that I was familiarising myself with during this time was mainly word documents and email. This job started through work experience in a week of October the previous year through school. I left the post because I was going back to School.

Kelly’s Mace, Kircubbin – this job at a convenience store with the Mace was a job of many duties, these included, till receptionist, shop duties, filling shelves, cleaning forecourt maintenance.This job was gained through application form format. I left the post because I had been offered another job but unfortunately the employee decided they hadn’t got a post any more.
