Last year I interned at Gateway Youth Outreach and I experienced what it is like working with diverse students in first grade. While helping them with homework and creating activities for the promotion of social and developmental skills I learned that every child is unique in their experiences and how they react to their environment impacts them in everyday life. When put in a situation where I have to make a hard decision I weigh the pros and the cons and make my final decision by how it will not only help me in the future, but also other people. I see myself as good at taking a situation and seeing the best of it by working towards an end goal.
