Since I was 13 I've always loved technology. The first compute I ever owned was a laptop I built myself from a computer graveyard a family friend. I've come a long way since then and have involved myself in as much technology I can over these past few years. With KEDC I experienced first hand how fun it can be to physically pull the wire to set up a network which with it inspired me to pursue networking as a career. During college, for the first two and a half years I worked with the EKU IT Geeks and did IT work just learning the ropes of how IT works and during work hours I was given the opportunity to study IT and look more into modern technology applications and it taught me a great deal. This was also my first experience creating with JavaScript build a lab check-in ID system with a group which we did through a mix of discord, GitHub, and Visual Studio to create this program together. It was a fantastic experience but during college I've moved around a lot so I eventually landed at T-Mobile and messed with smartphones primarily. While it was a sales position, I did experience a lot of troubleshooting experience here and learned how to quickly identify and solve issues with both Android and IOS devices. Now I'm close to achieving my degree and with the skills I've garnered in the classroom including Cisco router and switch, Windows Server 2016, JavaScript, CSS, Java, and AWS experience I'm ready to pursue a career in technology and learn more about this amazing field.
