I have had many job titles in my day ranging from ...11B (infantryman) in the United States Army where I jumped out of planes, walked long distances through rough hazardous terrain, low crawling trying to blend in the earth, mud and leaves. Doing combat missions while on deployment in Iraq in 2007 - 2008. Doing all the cool, glamorous things as well as things not so cool and glamorous as you would probably see in any typical action movie. Let me say that if there was a camera on me during those times I could make a whole movie bloopers section.Dish Network Call Center as a Loyalty Representative my job consisted of trying to convince customers to stay with us, with a 90% success rate :) may I add. I was a truck driver working for various trucking companies such as Stevens Transport, Knight Transportation, J.B. Hunt, driving my 18 wheeler truck all through out the country seeing different terrain in all sorts of weather conditions. Fun Fact. My very first load right out of trucking school. I had to drive through 3 tornados. I remember Bon Jovi's Wanted Dead Or Alive blaring on the radio and how fitting the lyrics were the moment.I was motivated by some family members who are software developers to learn code. It wasn't an easy road to travel. There were many challenges to say the least and, I'm sure many more to come because the tech world is always changing. But my previous careers had their challenges as well, and those experiences made me stronger. One thing that I learned from my previous careers is how to deal with problems. Breaking those problems down to small, logical and, manageable steps that anyone can solve one by one until what ever the issue was, was solved. Sometimes you have to think outside of the box, broaden your horizons and take a detour to reach your final destination. Hi, I'm Sam. I solve problems by writing code. I'm a Software Engineer. I specialize in building Full-Stack Web Applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. My preferred front end library is React. As for the back end, I primarily use Node with express, or C# with .NET MVC
