Samuel Silver is a research fellow at Stanford University, and a KRESCENT post-doctoral trainee. He completed his clinical training in internal medicine and nephrology at the University of Toronto. He holds a Master of Science in quality improvement and patient safety from the University of Toronto, and recently completed the Veteran Affairs Quality Scholars program. Samuel’s research focuses on the delivery of care for patients with acute kidney injury, both during the inpatient and outpatient setting. His research uses administrative data to inform the design of novel quality improvement interventions, and he is eager to spread quality improvement approaches to other areas in nephrology and medicine. Samuel has published 26 peer-reviewed manuscripts, 14 on which he was first author. He currently lives in Northern California with his wife and two young children.
