I started working here for supplemental income in between college semesters. I enjoyed my time in the kitchen but always wanted to give serving a shot. I worked with new people every season and spoke with customers from all around the country. This job was great for helping me work under pressure as serving can be quite chaotic on busy nights. I worked here for three winter seasons in between college semesters and full-time jobs.

White Mountain National Forest

This job took everything that I loved about my previous two and made it that much better with the setting now being the beautiful White Mountains of New Hampshire. Responsibilities were largely the same but I now had a much bigger drive between destinations and a much larger patrol area, so time management was critical. I conducted patrols of the many areas in the Androscoggin District, enforced rules and regulations across multiple state lines, and maintained and improved facilities. I also was able to create a map of dispersed campsites around the district for use by coworkers in describing where events were occurring throughout the confusing dispersed campsite roads.I worked here for 2 seasons as my primary job, once during the summer in between my Junior and Senior year of college and the other for the full 6-month season after graduating.

After realizing that I wanted something a little less urban than the city of Portland, I got this job at Range Pond State Park. The responsibilities were very similar to Portland but the more rural setting was much more my style. I conducted basic patrols across the park, enforced basic rules and regulations, cleaned and closed facilities daily, and handled day-use fees.I worked here for the summer in between by Sophomore and Junior year of college.

Portland, Maine Area

This was my first career-oriented job. I spent the summer patrolling the many parks across the city of Portland. I enforced rules, handled boat launch fees, worked with local law enforcement officers, and conducted routine procedures each day to clean and close down parks for the night across the city.I worked here for the summer in between my Freshman and Sophomore year of college.
