Manage the operations of our ocean-freight product for Mainfreight Air & Ocean in Sydney, overseeing both import and export services through developing operational strategies and direction for the freight forwarding teams. Responsible for the team (12), financials and strategic direction of the team.Significant FCL/LCL import/export profile with large in house services.Responsibilities:• Oversee the development of new freight business, maintain and develop relationships with new and existing clients in the market, and drive the business for maximum utilisation of existing facilities.• Ensure that financial management and reporting for freight is carried out in accordance with Mainfreight's KPI's and examining current market trends and use them to improve profitability.• Lead and motivate the team, drive quality and performance.

Overseeing the Export Sea-Freight product for Mainfreight Sydney. Managing the export FAK / LCL / FCL / Reefer product to shipping. Extensive knowledge and relationships with a variety of shipping lines and transport companies. Responsibilities: - Reporting a P&L for the exports department- Coordinating with shipping lines for rate management and port pairing- FAK consolidation - Work with the sales team to grow customer base - Trade lane growth focus (i.e. NZ, Fiji, Singapore and USA)
