While at Building Energy Uganda I performed the following key duties:• Successfully created checklists for review or inspection of completed solar installation projects as per IEC 62446 standard.• Performed commissioning of a ground mounted 10 MW grid connected photovoltaic power plant in Tororo (Uganda) as per IEC 62446 standard.• Conducted engineering site audits to collect structural, electrical, and related site information for use in the design of residential or commercial photovoltaic power systems.• Developed standard operation procedures, quality and safety standards for solar installation works.• Developed design specifications and functional requirements for residential, commercial and industrial solar energy systems and components.• Designed and optimised rooftop solar systems using PVSol software.• Designed and optimised on-grid, off-grid and hybrid photovoltaic systems with design tools such as PVSyst, PVSol and HOMER.• Provided technical support to installation teams during installation, start-up, testing, system commissioning and performance monitoring of PV systems.• Evaluated plans, specifications to determine technological and environmental implications.• Constantly reviewing the plant needs in terms of spare parts inventory, corrective and preventive maintenance and plant performance reporting.• Designed solar thermal systems, including identifying system components for residential and commercial buildings.• Equipped the operation and maintenance team at Tororo Solar North PV power plant with skills and knowledge about photovoltaics and inverters which greatly improved their performance.• Successfully installed, troubleshooted and advised customers on solar home systems.• Designing and optimisation of solar water pumping systems.

I provide comprehensive maintenance and support across several electro-mechanical plants and a range of mechanical equipment. This includes performing both routine and long- term preventive maintenance on equipment including generators, transformers, chillers, split type air conditioners, stabilizers, UPS and plumbing systems.My role involves the design and coordination of electrical and mechanical maintenance works in conjunction with the supervision of installations to ensure compliance with design specifications. I am proactive in identifying risk areas; swiftly diagnosing and resolving faults utilizing a range of diagnostic tools such as multimeter, earth meter(megger) and clamp on meter.Additional duties include inventory management, creating specifications for replacement of equipment/spares and producing a range of technical documentation and performance reports.I liaise extensively with clients, service providers, contractors, engineering teams and technical consultants and produce regular program updates. I was responsible for the installation, testing, commissioned and maintenance of generators with capacity ranging from 10kVA up to 2MW , both Caterpillar and Olympian generators.This involved the design of automatic transfer switches and maintenance, synchronisation of generators and panel maintenance as well as coordinating the procurement of appropriate generators and transfer switches.I completed preventive maintenance on generators in line with CSA's, applying diagnostic tools such as insulation resistance meter, multimeter and Caterpillar Electronic Technician. I also ensured the seamless integration of new generators on-site while ensuring high levels of Health and Safety.I was successful in building strong customer relationships with key clients; from the preparation of tailored quotations and negotiations of maintenance contracts through to ensuring exceptional levels of client service.Key Achievements- Designed and implemented a system to prevent ATI automatic transfer switches from damage following power fluctuations, with notable success in reducing frequent failures and increasing client confidence. - Gained varied and valuable experience in the repair and service of generators with control panels including Powerwizard 1.0 and 1.1, LCP 2, Deep Sea Electronics, GU620 and EMCP 11
