• My role at Ballotpedia spans the areas of policy and elections. You can most often find me scribbling away at Hall Pass, a weekly newsletter about school board politics and K-12 education policy. When I am not writing newsletters, I research, write, and maintain encyclopedic articles on topics like school choice, state takeovers of K-12 districts, state- and district-level classroom cell phone policies, education ballot measures, the reading wars, and more.I also cover state, local, and federal elections, and work behind the scenes to curate and improve Ballotpedia's homepage for the millions of voters who visit the site each year.
