Recruited to turn around manufacturing division of this $90mm NASDAQ-traded diversified electronics company. Promoted to President & COO in 1987 with responsibility for all E.I.L. operations including core electronics distribution division and personal computer distribution subsidiary. Promoted to CEO in early 1989. At its peak E.I.L.'s revenues exceeded $135mm with 450 employees and 34 facilities serving the North American market.Took E.I.L. private through a leveraged buyout in 1989. Sold computer distribution division in 1990 to reduce leverage, refinanced LBO debt with institutional mezzanine debt in 1992, sold distribution and service operations in 1997 and remaining energy controls manufacturing operations in September, 2000.
