Using extensive experience and skills I delivered recruit training. Being tasked to complete complex training programmes whilst hitting all objectives, reporting and assessing 50+ marines and ensuring health and safety requirements were adhered to. A role requiring deconfliction for training areas, assessment of candidates, organisation of logistics, delivery of lectures and honest articulate summaries of performance made this a multifaceted role which resulted in new generations of highly skilled Royal Marines.

Whilst on operational tour OP HERRICK 14, I had command of 16 Marines whilst in a challenging environment. I ran a check point from which we would conduct patrols and operations. Selection for the rank of Lance Corporal in a competitive environment encompassed a varied role including being second in command of a team of 12 men, allocation of weapons, equipment, rations, delivery of training, lectures and presentations and reporting to all levels of hierarchy.

Management and implementation of over 90 miles of cycle route on public roads in Multiple Locations including UK, Ireland and France.Procurement of services and goods from external agencies to ensure the support of competitors and safe delivery of a multi-layered sporting event.Training and briefing of safety staff, traffic management and first aid for one of the UK's major triathalon providers on a number of events throughout the UK, Ireland and France, resulting in the safe, effective and enjoyable delivery of a sporting event for over 5000 people.
