I just recently graduated from Samford University with a degree in Finance and concentrations in Data Analytics and Sports Marketing. During my time at Samford, I have had the opportunity to work on many different projects across various different sectors for the school and other large business organizations.My capstone project for my Samford career consisted of working for Chick-fil-A to determine how effective their "Road to the Iron Bowl" campaign is in raising interest and interaction around the Chick-fil-A brand during the football season compared to outside the football season. We analyzed many elements of social, secondary, and survey data to determine our results and have presented our findings to the owner-operators of all of the Chick-fil-A's within the state of Alabama and the Advisory Board of the Brock School of Business at Samford University.Some other work include a large college gameday project that required my group to create and implement a marketing plan to increase attendance at different sports games across Samford's campusI have also done work for the Samford Baseball team working on a project to help determine if there is an unfair advantage given to certain groups of teams because of how the current RPI model is set up.Finally, I was a part of a marketing research project for the Denver Broncos that was tasked with analyzing and surveying season ticket holders to help the Broncos determine the wants and interests of their fanbase around the topic of sports gambling.
