My core responsibility as buyer at Featherstone Homes is to be speaking on a daily basis to site managers on all of our sites making sure materials/stationary/plant hire are on time and are in line with there schedules making sure the materials we order are the in exact to their requirements. I attend all pre order meetings with subcontractors making sure all materials are ordered for them and on site before their start and are getting various quotes to make sure we are getting the best price possible, also making sure all PPE and company clothes are provided where suitable. I conduct quantity take offs for every project which includes Bricks, Blocks, Insulation, Cladding, Doors, Lintels, Cavity Closers and the majority of Supply only products. During my role as Key Account Manager at IndieGo Distribution Ltd I was the first port of call for all new customers making sure all was on the correct price list and letting them know about all New Releases and upcoming merchandise we would soon be releasing. My role included traveling across the whole country and into Europe for Business meetings and shows. I would also put my ideas across to the design team and licensing team to make sure we have the merchandise that the customers wants. Working as Key Account Manager included many other various roles within this including Order Placing with printers, Warehouse Management, Website Updating, using software such as Mail chimp to make sure customers receive all new releases and updated price lists every month.
