I am currently learning and growing in the business world, working as a production coordinator within the sales team of Case Farms. During my time here I have learned cross functional coordination through both the sales force and production side of the food industry. I am tasked with generating daily production schedules in order to complete the needs of the sales team, both domestic and international. In order to create these schedules I analyze data through models, in which I have created a very detailed idea of where numbers may end up weeks in advance. These generated numbers allow the sales team to effectively sell product in certain areas where I have discovered selling opportunities. I lead daily meetings with line supervisors, shipping managers, and the sales team in order to make sure we are on track to meet customers needs. In a short time I have been very creative in developing problem solving skills by leveraging my knowledge and internal resources. As a fresh graduate of Appalachian State, I maintain a student mindset, whereas I continue to train my skills and incorporate new ones. Some of my greatest strengths are analytical thinking, operations management, and creative problem solving. I believe it is vital to have a data driven plan, but in order to be successful I have found that it’s the way you adapt to change and problems that truly gets the job done.
