Using voice recognition software I caption phone calls for the deaf and hard of hearing. Basically it is like closed captions on the television except printed on the telephone for persons to follow along with.

SPARK Agency•Tobacco Education and Prevention Coalition of Porter CountyThe main objectives of this project were to promote the quit line (1800-Quit-Now), increase membership within their VOICE group, and to assist them in creating awareness. This involved with a $25,000 budget from a government grant. I lead the team in creating print, social media, and radio campaigns. I also assisted in hosting a dance at a local high school to promote the VOICE group.•Festival of VoicesFestival of Voices is an annual diversity event run by the SPARK team to raise money for a local charity (Hilltop House). For this event I created posters, wrote a press release which was published in the Northwest Indiana Times, and created the program for the event. From evaluation, the newspaper article had attracted a majority of the persons in attendance.Standards ChairThe main tasks included in this title, were the editing, proofreading, and revising of any and all materials before being sent out.
