About Samuel Cantor, Msc, P.Geo
In order to thrive in a new environment, you have to explicitly choose to do so. If you are starting in a new position, or even a new industry, it's impossible to be an expert on everything on day one. But with an optimistic, growth based mindset, you will learn and adapt to new tasks and challenges, and in a very short period of time you will be the expert you wanted to be on that first day.I've worked in laboratory settings, early stage exploration, advanced stage exploration, community relations, environmental remediation, project management, and ontologies/artificial intelligence roles, but also in bar staff management, dance instruction, and volunteering projects. In every case, it's critically important to know where your experience level is, and to focus on where it can be improved. As long as you approach each task with the correct mindset, and have patience, you will accomplish what you need. It's just that simple.
Listed skills include Geology, Mining, Mineral Exploration, Sampling, and 13 others.

Customer Success Lead
My role involves maximizing the success that users have with Seequent products, starting with my last product, DRIVER, which was recently acquired from Minerva Intelligence Inc.
Product Lead: Driver - (Acquired By Seequent, A Bentley Subsurface Company)
My role at Minerva is to evaluate how different problems across the mining value chain can be solved with software solutions. My primary product right now is called DRIVER (https://driver.rocks), and it's a platform that uses a novel set of algorithms to tackle the problem of 3D modeling complex datasets.A wide variety of geoscientists use DRIVER, from resource modelers and exploration geologists, to mining geos and geometallurgists. The DRIVER platform allows these geoscientists to automatically determine the optimal directional continuity for any number of elements or variables in a matter of minutes. This allows them to work through a 3D modelling workflow and produce accurate 3D models of each element in their dataset.
Msc - Stable Isotopes (D13C And D18O) As An Exploration Tool
My project as an MSc student with the Mineral Deposit Research Unit at UBC was part of the Carbonate Alteration Footprints Project, and I looked at cryptic alteration haloes in carbonate rocks around the Iscaycruz mine in Central Peru.
