Local News Now LLC is an independent online news organization. Its four sites, ARLnow.com, BethesdaNow.com, RestonNow.com & HillNow.com provide original, enterprising, and up-to-the-minute local coverage for Arlington VA, Bethesda MD, Reston VA & the Capitol Hill area of DC respectively.As the Associate Director of Sales & Business Development, I was responsible for the overall growth of our DC area publications. Additionally, I maintained and expanded our marketing & sales operations in the region by helping local businesses & organizations use our platform to effectively reach their target audiences.

For this position, I was heading up efforts to create exclusive content at LivingSocial's first interactive consumer-facing space: 918 F St. With over 10,000 square feet of programmable spaces, we changed the way consumers and merchants interacted in the Washington, DC area.Sample events included experiences such as:*Exclusive chef's dinners & pop-up restaurant previews*Cooking classes in our state-of-the-art demo kitchen*Mixology courses*Live concerts*Pop-up shops and trunk shows for local retailers

In this role I was responsible for the curation, optimization, and execution of exclusive Gourmet experiences in pinnacle markets across the US. In addition to creating original programming for the channel, I also partnered with general managers across the company in order to train, advise, and assist strategic account managers in preparation of product launches in their respective markets.

As a senior associate I connected merchants in cities across the US with our local marketing specialists in order to develop an innovative promotion strategy that fit into the company's existing business model. During my time in this role, I consistently achieved top-ten results across all performance metrics. Seeking out a new challenge within the company, I was selected to pilot the launch of a new high-end restaurant platform for LivingSocial known as Gourmet.
