Hi, I'm Sam 👋.I've been passionate about technology since my teenage years. Early in my career, I raised my first VC funding with my best friend. We both decided to drop out of college and leave our Big Four consulting jobs to start our first tech business. I've been working passionately in the tech industry ever since.To me, technology is the closest thing to magic in the real world, and I absolutely love it.My last business was bootstrapped, and I exited in 2022 after more than a decade of passion and growth. As CTO at CareerUp, I've always been obsessed with infrastructure and cybersecurity.We're now building Palisade to help companies fight against the looming cybersecurity crisis, exacerbated by AI-assisted scammers scaling their phishing operations. With ongoing changes in regulations and constantly evolving security protocols, companies should have access to technology that helps them deploy the latest security layers at the click of a button.I have studied in Singapore Management University and have been living abroad in Singapore, the Philippines and San Francisco for a decade before re-establishing home base in Canada.In my spare time, I enjoy board sports, outdoor adventures with friends, yoga, science fiction, traveling, and learning about new technologies.
