As a student in the John Chamber College of Business and Economics at West Virginia University, I have furthered my knowledge of the advanced skill sets that I need to lead me down a path of success. This, along with my experiences from previous workplaces, have been significant contributing factors in the way I see the marketing world today. Willing to take the lead in advancing communication and team learning. As demonstrated in my class, I discovered an interest of being able to create a lasting relationship with buyers to advance the companies' interests. Lifeguarding has led me down a path of being able to be a member of an organization that puts others first while utilizing my athletic abilities. At Electric Boat, I was able to use my education and apply it to the real work force. I was able to be in a setting that let me experience the real time culture of the working world. As an example, I took an archaic technology process and turned it into a more efficient streamlined approach that saved time and money for the user. I have been able to build upon my skills from the work experience that I have gained by shaping my team work abilities, leadership, motivation skills and how to successfully handle unpredictable or stressful situations.
