I report directly to the Head of Regulatory Reserving on:•Solvency II TPs reserving process•IFRS17 reserving process •BMA EBS TPs reserving process•Singapore MAS actuarial opinion•International Capital Standard calculationMy other responsibilities include:•Building and developing SQL and Excel models to improve reserving processes•Supporting the wider reserving team with ad hoc projects•Creating and growing the LGBT+ network, organising and delivering events

I joined Deloitte as a graduate and spent 3 years working in the rewards and benefit practice. I supported on a wide range of pensions and HR projects including trustee and corporate DB pension advisory, audit and accounting, M&As and internal projects to increase efficiency.I was seconded to the Copenhagen actuarial team for 6 months (originally 4 months then extended) to help lead the delivery of audit and accounting projects for some of the largest Nordic companies. I also began leading on the development and automation of the audit process.

Cleansed insurance pricing data sets then used SQL and Excel to analyse the data and produce monthly management reports.Created a new data set for new-business policies and reconciled it against the previous data we were using. The new data set was more sophisticated and allowed for more actionable insight into the new-business book.Developed an automated test function in Ready API (SOAPUI) to bulk test 10,000 new business quotes and renewal invites. This was an important control step in the introduction of price changes or pricing models and helped avoid unwanted impacts.Implemented price changes using Earnix.

6 week group research internship investigating the feasibility of actuarial assumptions made in the 2017 valuation of the University Superannuation Scheme (USS).Work was focused around using R and Excel to forecast future investment returns, mortality rates and salary increases.Culminated in a presentation to over 100 people at the University of Liverpool campus in London.
