In my role as a Payroll Specialist at The Westgate Hotel, I am responsible for processing payroll for salaried and hourly employees. I review all pay files to ensure accuracy in calculating and processing payroll taxes, including federal, state, and local taxes, to deliver quality and accurate timely payment of wages, deductions, and benefits. Review and input employee information, timekeeping data, and payroll adjustments into the UKG Pro /WFM - Kronos payroll system to verify the accuracy of payroll records. Prepare various payroll reports, including wage and tax reports, as required by law and company policies, including audits. I participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to stay updated on payroll regulations, best practices, and system enhancements. I provide training and coaching to team members as needed. Additional responsibilities include point of contact for employee inquiries, resolving payroll issues in a timely manner and collaborating with other departments to ensure accurate and efficient payroll processing.
