Paralegal Trial Practice and Litigation Group:As a Paralegal for Alston and Bird I assisted partners, senior associates and associates with class action lawsuits. I was responsible for the coordination of discovery and obtaining the necessary evidence and witnesses to support the defense of the lawsuit. I supervised the work performed by law clerks that assisted me in my duties and responsibilities. by providing guidance on how to perform various tasks and search for the information we were looking for. • Supervised law clerks and oversaw projects assigned to them.• Prepared for trial by assembling exhibits binders, trial binders, witness binders, and coordinatingwitnesses.• Reviewed documents for responsiveness, privilege and confidentiality.• Conducted and coordinated document productions.• Arranged depositions of fact and expert witnesses.• Maintained pleadings, expert witness files, fact witness files and binders, exhibit binders, and depositionfiles.• Setup and maintained electronic files on Concordance, IPRO, Casemap, Client Portals and the firmworkgroup/egroup.• Researched case law through the use of Westlaw, Lexis-Nexis, the firm library and internet documentfacilities.• Coordinated projects and communicated with partners, associates, outside counsel, co-defense counsel,clients and adversaries.• Coordinated issuance and recordings of Writs of Fieri Facias and Writs of Execution in various counties.• Drafted Subpoena, Subpoena Duces Tecum, Notice of Deposition, Notice of Motion and otherdocuments.• Maintained and updated calendar for cases.• Assisted other teams and paralegals with document reviews, document productions, trial preparation,filings, drafting of motions, exhibit binders, trial binders, set up of data bases, projects and caseload.
