In my role, I serve as the visionary and strategist for ensuring parent leaders build their capabilities to effectively run nonprofits centered in strong advocacy work. I am responsible for developing, delivering and/or deploying team members to support parents’ development in self awareness, self management and identity-based leadership - and specifically those areas that accelerate the work leaders do to build movements and the infrastructure to support those movements. Key Accomplishments include: Co-design and ran an 18 month incubator, which recruited and trained executive directors across 4 cities (Atlanta, Nashville, St. Louis, and San Antonio), to grow their organizations from idea to conception; with funding, strategy, and staffing in place.Coached executive directors in developing the necessary theory of change, prioritization, planning, and time management skills to successfully run their nonprofitsDesigned leadership courses to help develop new leaders within the context of building an educational movementConducted fundraising and grant management workshops, including grant application writing and budget management in order to train executive directors on proper financial stewardship

We facilitate experiences that enable teams and organizations to set a compelling vision and mission, determine ambitious goals, and create action plans to guide the work. We also assist teams who are exploring the collective impact model.Helped launch Sport for Good Atlanta, impacting approximately 55,000 residents on the Westside of Atlanta. Lead the strategic planning process for Gateway Center set to impact over 6,000 homeless clients across Metro Atlanta.

Served as a liaison between schools and the central office, responsible for supporting Principals and the School Governance Councils with ideas for implementing academic and organizational innovations, and providing support with school budget approval and overall school governance. Engaged in community organizing to build the capacity of parents and community members to engage in local school decision-making. Designed and facilitated curriculum to train council members on aspects of school decision making.Launched new campaign (#sharedgovernance) which led to 307% increase in community engagement via school governance elections.Increased strong governance through coaching and capacity building.

Created and implemented curriculum for several new leadership development programs leading to growth in our region’s leadership pipeline of alumni leading in public, private, and nonprofit sectors Established the organization’s first leadership development programing creating a pipeline of educational leaders that now include social entrepreneurs, elected officials, and principals

Lead the organization in recruiting and retaining the most diverse program team for 2 years. Lead a cohort of 6 teacher coaches (Managers of Teacher Leadership Development or MTLD) who were each responsible for about 30 new teachers, representing a cohort of about 185 teachers impacting over 11,000 students. Lead staff talent recruitment efforts and met or exceeded 100% of talent recruitment matriculation and diversity targets

Managed and coached a group of 20 corps members towards efficacy, retention, and satisfaction goals along with one Manager of Teacher Leadership Development. Met or exceeded all corps member efficacy, retention, and satisfaction goals with both my cohort of corps members and the MTLD I managed

Managed and coached a group of 35 first and second year teachers towards efficacy, retention, and satisfaction goals

Established a big goal and led students toward attainment of academic success through management of individual achievement plans, continual assessment, and strong backward planning/executing. Guided 100% of classroom students towards significant academic gains by growing on average 2 grade levels in reading and 1.5 grade levels in math.
