I am a business executive and consultant specializing in strategy, negotiation, conflict resolution and leadership. My experiences ranged across various functions from engineering to business development, and spanned domains such as medical devices, education technology and mobile applications. With a career that began in aviation, I have accumulated over 30 years as a senior executive of aerospace and software companies, ranging from startups to established global producers of integrated systems. As an instructor at the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School, the Harvard Negotiation Institute, and the Engineering Leadership program at MIT, I develop and deliver unique experiential courses that include training in-person, on-line, and using blended-learning technologies. I have been teaching both foundational and advanced skills and workshops on leadership, sales, entrepreneurship, public speaking, mediation, and negotiation.As the founder of Meedance, a strategy, venture and negotiation services firm, I serve as an executive consultant, mediator, and advisor specializing in business conflicts that involve founders, investors, and board members in early-stage, high-growth, and distressed companies, based on my own 30-year track record as a global entrepreneur, high-tech executive, board member, and venture capital investor.I am fortunate to often be invited to deliver workshops and lectures as a thought leader, global speaker, and co-author of the award-winning book Entrepreneurial Negotiation: Understanding and Managing the Relationships that Determine Your Entrepreneurial Success (Palgrave/McMillan). My diverse background includes being an engineer, a pilot, a semi-professional athlete, and teaching Shakespeare.
