Tasked with redrawing their distribution leak survey areas and updating existing and creating new business districts using ArcGIS. Drawing perimeters were given such as gas main mileage and boundaries along physical barriers like highways, railroads, and waterbodies. The redraw project primarily involved correcting map boundaries, fixing overlaps and gaps between polygons, managing their GIS data, and making them more efficient to the leak detection drivers so that better coverage could be acquired.Additional analysis was done to see where their assets intersected and whether it would be required to be surveyed at a much higher frequency than other crossings. Other objectives were to look for any crossings not currently being surveyed and to reduce the number of crossings being over surveyed.
