Managed a county-wide campaign and coordinated with dozens of volunteers and political groups to raise support for a candidate and a campaign that inspired thousands of voters.• Coordinated with volunteers to earn the signatures of over 6,000 Arizona residents and get a first-time candidate on the ballot.• Booked and managed over 30 events for the candidate to build a support network across Maricopa County.• Led all aspects of the campaign, including speaking on the candidate’s behalf at two events, when he was called back to the Navy for a month-long training, resulting in increased support from a major union and a political group.• Reached over 10,000 voters via individual text messages to raise the name identification of the candidate and connect him with individuals who were eager to support the campaign.• Had productive in-person conversations with over 500 Democrats, Republicans, and Independents across Maricopa County, in an effort to bridge the political divide and help establish an understanding of the candidate’s belief that the right to vote is sacred and should be protected regardless of political affiliation.

Enter and process data via proprietary software systems and Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) software systems.Selected Achievements:• Spearheaded a portion of the contract administration of Michigan’s portfolio of government-assisted multifamily housing projects; handled the processing of rent adjustments and utility allowances.• Utilized the proprietary software systems and Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) software systems to record, process, and maintain data.• Successfully processed over 80 rent adjustments and utility allowances, leading to the fulfillment of HUD’s commitment to owners and tenants, and oversaw the accurate allocation of over $2 million in funding in support of HUD’s Section 8 Program; fostered relationships with properties participating in the Section 8 program.

Conducted a variety of tasks to support the Sustainable Cities Network's (SCN) goal to support regional sustainability and collaboration. Provided administrative assistance to the SCN Director. Helped facilitate group discussions between multiple Arizona local governments’ sustainability professionals to help them engage on the topic of equity’s role in sustainability and how they might further it in their work. Conducted research into strategies to make the Mayor’s Youth Advisory Commission (MYAC) more inclusive and diverse. Assisted with event organization and operation, including the 2020 Youth Town Hall, which provided Tempe youth with access to resources and information. Created designs and charts for presentations, including the 2020 MYAC presentation to Tempe City Council, which expressed recommendations to benefit Tempe Youth.Selected Achievements:• Prepared a framework to measure and improve MYAC's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, resulting in an increased likelihood of traditionally marginalized groups gaining access to MYAC membership.• Compiled over 30 possible youth professional development exercises to help youth build their soft skills and prepare for higher education and future careers.

My primary role was conducting research on youth engagement programs and gang prevention programs to include in the Edison-Eastlake Community’s (EEC) revitalization plan. Also, I reviewed a draft EEC heat action plan and provided suggestions. Additionally, I assessed resident input data regarding Edison Park improvements to accurately reflect their preferences and concerns. This position required me to brief the Housing Department's staff on useful programs to include in the EEC redevelopment plan.Selected Achievements:• Researched youth engagement programs to include in Edison-Eastlake Community (EEC) revitalization plan, which resulted in city staff having a template to develop a youth program in the EEC.• Assisted with researching grant requirements, which resulted in a streamlined process to apply for tribal gaming grants.• Assisted with the set-up and execution of Housing Department events, including a community bike ride, which brought dozens of community members together and informed them of their prioritized access to the now defunct Grid Bike Share program.

As a Volunteer Services Assistant, I supported the Volunteer Services Office with event set up, event operations, and tear down. The bulk of my work was serving people experiencing homelessness and otherwise food insecure individuals at four dining halls across the Phoenix Metropolitan Area. I also assisted staff and customers in the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Shop and I assisted with day heat relief for asylum seekers.Selected Achievements:• Helped welcome over 100 asylum seekers and direct them to services after arriving at the SVdP Main Campus.• Assisted with the set up and operation of two Hearts and Hands events, which helped introduce over 200 children to community service.• Assisted with the lunch rush at St. Vincent de Paul's busiest dining hall, serving over 500 clients a hot meal.

Provided leadership and general administration support to the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) and served as the sole Administration Chief for the Marine Corps Absentee Collection Unit (MCACU) in San Diego. Supervised a team of three Marines and performed administrative functions for the 31st MEU, consisting of over 1,000 personnel. During my two deployments to Iraq, I used my security training to work with my team to create and update security assessments that successfully protected the Coalition Forces' installation, personnel, and information from internal and external threats.Selected Achievements:• Led a team of 3 Marines and performed administrative duties for the 31st MEU, comprised of over 1,000 personnel.• Oversaw processing of the 31st MEU’s travel and lodging vouchers for reasons such as emergency leave, training, and event attendance, resulting in the accurate allocation of over 800 thousand dollars.• Overhauled the MCACU San Diego administration procedures to ensure compliance with regulations, and assisted transport deserters, resulting in the receival of the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.• Recognized twice as the highest-performing junior leader of the quarter and was promoted to Corporal on merit.• Supported and participated in the Marine Corps Mentoring Program, advised pathways for higher education, and provided career counseling to four Marines; two Marines stated that the received mentorship assisted them with achieving meritorious promotion.• Brought attention to contaminated local Iraqi drinking water sources to encourage humanitarian aid, which resulted in local awareness, increased local use of methods such as distilling water, and plans to create more effective water purification systems. • Worked with diverse teams from the U.S. and Denmark to create, implement, and monitor policies that protected coalition forces from hostile actors and contributed to zero incidents.
