Layn has been providing high quality, clean labeled and all-natural botanical extracts to the nutraceutical and food&beverage industry, bringing innovative solutions to nutrition, health and personal care for 25 years.Three aspects characterize my role:- Consolidated experience in the nutraceutical sector, with extensive knowledge of active ingredients and excipients, experience in formulating food supplements and familiarity with the entire production process, from laboratory sampling to industrial-scale production.- Complete sales cycle: from first contact to logistics, including the management of test samples and negotiation, with a wealth of soft skills that allow me to obtain the best compromise between the needs of supplier and customer.- Personalized consultancy and in-depth knowledge of the Layn Portfolio, which together with the close collaboration with the R&D department allow me to guarantee the achievement of our partners' objectives.

The tasks envisaged by the role of R&D Formulator are:- Formulation hypothesis, to respond to a customer request, developed by the Project Manager in charge, with considerations related to the regulatory status, cost analysis and technical feasibility of the product.- Laboratory sampling of the hypothesized formula, evaluating its technical and organoleptic characteristics with a view to industrial-scale production.- Scale-up test and management of a pilot batch on an industrial machine, to confirm the quality of the formulation and be able to eliminate any defects to guarantee the success of the process.- Control of industrial production, with management of deviations and non-conformities.
