I love programming and people. Oh, and food. When I'm not leveling up my programming skills, I'm usually trying to re-create a Gordon Ramsey dish, or socializing with friends on Overwatch. I'm introverted but passionate about people, encouraging them, and just as any programmer should, leaving them better than I found them. I've been programming since 2012 as I attended college, but really kicked into gear when I joined Security By Design, Inc. in mid 2015. I built a .Net Web Api to support our SaaS product ASSIST, as well as re-designing and converting ASSIST along with the company website from PHP to .NET. In that process, I've learned a lot about 2FA, file IO, and security. Building secure, scalable infrastructure to support our software. Aside from programming and designing the site, I've also learned a lot about server management and configuration. Creating new sites in IIS, adding MIME types, debugging network issues, and managing SMTP services. For personal projects, I've been getting really into Swift, I've made 4-5 simpler apps as well as a production 2FA app for internal use that's been stable since release, I really enjoy programming with Swift. I've dabbled in React, Node, Python, Angular, and Vue. React probably more so than the others. Learning for the sake of finding out how something works is something I find myself doing a lot. I've read a lot about React, without really programming much with it. I think it's good and really should be a goal of developers to just have a general knowledge about the different technologies out there and taking deeper dives when you might be able to make something useful with it.
