About Samuel Fosso Wamba, Phd-Hdr

I am a Full Professor in Information Systems and Data Science and the Associate Dean for Research at TBS Education, France. Before that, I was an Associate Professor at NEOMA Business School and Senior Lecturer at SISAT, UoW, Australia. I earned my Ph.D. in industrial engineering at the Polytechnic School of Montreal, Canada. I hold two master's degrees: one MSc in Maths from the University of Sherbrooke and another in e-commerce from HEC Montreal. On 11 September 2015 at 2:00 PM, I successfully defended my Habilitation of Conducting Research (HDR in French or Habilitation to Supervise Research) in Management Science (Section 6), Information Systems Major at the Telecom Business School, the University of Evry at Essonne, France. For this HDR, I synthesized my research on RFID, the Internet of Things, and Big Data/business analytics. My current research focuses on the business value of IT, IT adoption, use, and impacts, SCM, IT-enabled social inclusion, Blockchain, Social media, Business Analytics, Big Data, Artificial intelligence (AI), and Generative AI for Business.I have published papers in IS and OM Journals and Conferences. I organize special IT/RFID/significant data/AI/blockchain issues for various IS and OM Conferences and Journals. I was the founding head of TBS Education's newly created Center of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence & Business Analytics.I am a scholarship recipient of the Case Centre for 2014, Paper of the Year 2017 of the Academy of Management Journal, and Paper of the Year 2017 and Year 2023 of the Electronic Market Journal.
