I led the People team during a tough market and world situation, restructuring the company significantly while growing and developing new leaders and skills throughout the company. It included moving all our teams to a remote setup and then back to a hybrid one, adapting all People processes to the new situations.

Inventure Cloud is a platform for collaborative invention. You can share your idea for a product on the site and different people from around the World will help you finish the design and fund it in order to produce it.I designed the architecture of the platform, coded the initial backend in my free time and hired the tech team. The ISecLab at the Network and Security Team is a group of experienced hackers combining their abilities to produce top-notch research.I worked in the detection of SSH stepping-stone attacks, using Python, Wireshark and machine learning techniques. Project supervision by Davide Balzarotti.

Efforts towards own start up. As one of the full-time co-founders, I had several responsibilities in different areas.In the business area: goal and strategy definition, idea development, elaboration of business plan, SWOT analysis.In the technical area: technology evaluation, architecture, prototyping.Project finally abandoned due to funding difficulties; the economy crisis didn't help. (And our own first-timer mistakes, I should admit). Lots of learning, though. Really, a lot. The group of Trouble-Ticketing Tools, in the area of Network Management Tools is in charge of providing expertise and internal tools to assist managing the complex networks that the companies from the Telefonica Group have.In this group I took part in an international J2EE project: programming of a trouble-ticketing tool to manage the Brazil telecommunication network from Telefonica Telesp. I was involved in both frontend and backend development.

The Systems Support Group of BT Spain is a core of network and sysadmin professionals in charge of the operations of the backbone network in Spain. In addition, as part of the Operations and Planning Area they coordinate with other international teams to develop ad-hoc tools.In the systems support area: development of tools for the systems management network, programming in C and ShellScript. Admin of multiple Unix flavors: Solaris, HPUX, Linux. Web project: internal network monitoring tools, with BASH + CGI.In the operations and planning area (international projects in collaboration with BT UK and BT Germany): architecture and development of a complex screen-scraping robot, with high-availability and self-recovery, programmed with VisualBasic.
