Samuel Weber Email and Phone Number
I do Global Health Policy, but add a little ~spice~ to my advocacy, research, and consulting.Occasionally, I direct theatre, special events, and freelance in leading creative strategy projects. My work across labs, archives, and stages is always focused on bringing new perspectives and the taste of my generation to often antiquated institutions. I have worked in every level of healthcare - from overnight on-calls in patient care at the Dallas Area Rape Crisis Center, to policy writing in the Human Rights division at the World Health Organization, and now working with biotech and pharma companies on FDA approvals and in pursuit of health equity. I am passionate about decolonizing healthcare discourses and structures to better reflect the populations we are meant to be serving, and believe that much like art, health is a human right. When not writing about the forgotten history of gender-affirmative plastic surgery or studying the sociopolitical determinants of pandemics, I can be found working in professional theatre in London and NYC. I often get asked when I'm going to choose between a career in medicine and artistic direction. The answer: I won't. My time assisting choreographers on Broadway or working with directors on West End has made me a more creative and communicative health professional. Likewise, my experience in biochemistry and training in research analytics empowers a lazer-focused approach to storytelling and creative projects. Let me stage a narratively nuanced and digitally-immersive production for your theatre, or bring me in to teach physicians why Crenshaw's 'intersectionality" is a bit more complicated than instagram-activism lets on. Just let me tell stories - like Tinkerbell, without applause I will die.Call me, beep me, if you want someone to study health systems or infectious disease, lead workshops on LGBTQ+ and equitable healthcare, direct your creative project, or just to nerd out about the intricacies of our collapsed healthcare system and how my generation is going to fix it.For Creative Resume and Academic Publication list, see my personal website: samuelgage.com
