As a Dock Master, my primary goal was to provide a great experience for members of the private boat club, as well as maintain the operation and cleanliness of the vessels. Frequently working alone, I had the responsibility of making smart decisions for the company’s benefit while ensuring member satisfaction and handling any potential emergencies.Vessel Maintenance: upkeep of the operation and appearance of 14 vessels, ranging from 18 to 24 feet and of a variety of different platforms.Member Interaction: guaranteeing member satisfaction at the club through managing the reservation system, receiving and relaying feedback, advising the navigation of vessels, and giving warning to potential hazardous weather conditions. Additionally, giving the sales pitch to potential members and recruiting several who would come by looking for information.Training New Employees: explaining and demonstrating all facets of the job to new hires and being a resource they can use for questions.
