I worked with the Sales and Business Development teams in Boulder, and directly contributed to the creation of over $500,000 in new business opportunities. My duties ranged from prospect analysis and sales development, to marketing coordination account management.

In addition to my ongoing studies, I worked part-time as a Backwait at this contemporary American bar on Boulder's historic Pearl Street. My job entailed typical restaurant duties like customer service and general maintenance, however, the greatest value of this experience was in the education program. A key tenant of The Kitchen Upstairs is their dedication to sourcing products locally, and providing customers with information for how and where products come from. In order to facilitate this, we had weekly product education classes, and also took tours of several local suppliers' facilities and farms. Among the facilities we had the opportunity to visit were Avery Brewing Co., Boulder Distillery & Clear Spirit Company, Inc., and Haystack Hop Farms.

I worked as a Banquet Server and Barback at this contemporary fine dining establishment during my sophomore year at CU Boulder. My job entailed food and drink service, event setup, and general restaurant maintenance. In addition to typical restaurant duties, employees were expected to possess considerable product knowledge. This afforded me my first introduction to Northern Colorado's artisanal food and beverage market, and incentivized me to educate myself on methods of production for products like small-batch spirits, craft beer and organic produce.

I worked full-time as an assistant in the pattern shop this aluminum foundry every summer during high school, as well as the summer after my freshman year at CU Boulder. My duties ranged from inventory management to hands-on woodworking and general shop maintenance.
