Identify requirements, code, test, deploy and maintain code base.Serve as an additional resource for DBA duties.Accomplishments:Wrote a PL/SQL CRUD layer for the existing web application. This moved CRUD operations out of the Coldfusion layer, into a PL/SQL layer in Oracle. The advantages include decoupling the application from the database, improving the Coldfusion code, simplifying maintenance and facilitating new development. Moreover, the PL/SQL layer isolates CRUD operations which facilitates troubleshooting.Designed and developed a logging system to capture details on a variety of events in the application and database. These events are stored in a database schema. Developed a user interface that allows system administrators to manage logging and browse events. The logging system was designed in such a way that it can be used by any application we develop thus centralizing logging and providing a standard for the definition of events.
