As a marketing professional with market experience in Brand, Product, Consumer and Trade Marketing of over 12 years, I have experienced and believed a saying by Seth Godin, as per him, ‘Marketing is no longer only about the stuff that you make, but also about the stories you tell.’ This saying has become my go to ‘mantra’ in my professional journey. Over the years, I have been working on product development and developing appropriate strategy and roadmaps for various clients. As a marketing professional, I have evolved into a sharp strategist with a strong knack in budgeting annual sales & marketing plans while zeroing on new channels and sources of distribution. My work profile keeps me on my toes with new challenges which I readily accept and have mastered the skill of swimming through deep waters easily. The diversity of my work profile gives me the advantage of adapting to any role. In a decade long career till now, I have been involved in Branding, Product & Trade Marketing and Business Management across Travel, Media, Publishing and the Advertising industry. In my last role, I was associated with Cox & Kings Ltd as a Deputy General Manager while handling the Special Interests Vertical which took care of sales & marketing targeting brand awareness and channelling business growth to new heights. As a strategist my role was to build a go to market plan, forecasting market trends and augmenting products and services. I not only offered workable and effective offline market strategies but made ripples through online plans as well. In a short-span I successfully launched a new vertical, ‘Tour to Feast’, a one of its kind holiday package focusing on discovering destinations and its cultures through its cuisines. Due to unforeseen circumstances at the company, I resigned from my position in October’19. Post which, up until the beginning of this pandemic I was advising a couple of projects in my individual capacity of a marketing, brand and communications professional.
