I am a hardworking, organised, reliable person and do any job to the best of my ability. I very much like to be part of a team but I am also happy to work on my own. I enjoy meeting people – both adults and children - and I enjoy learning new skills. I also have good customer care skills as I have experience of working under pressure in a variety of seasonal and part-time jobs. Additionally, I have a lot of experience in working with children of all ages and interests, as well as children with autism.I am a Mechanical Engineering Graduate, experienced in programming in Matlab and 3D modelling using CAD software ‘SolidWorks’. I have a keen logical approach to problem solving and the ability to relate well to people in a wide range of contexts.I am a keen car enthusiast and have taught myself how to diagnose car problems and then solve them. I have also taught myself both MIG and Arc welding and I intend doing a course in the near future. I am a classic car owner and have restored a classic mini and have another classic mini clubman as an ongoing restoration project. I have also owned a Ferret Scout car that I kept on the road until I sold it to a fellow enthusiast. I am also involved in a number of classic car and lorry based projects with a group of friends.I am a very active person, I enjoy cycling and swimming. I am a very able skier, snow-scooter and kayaker. I am also a member of a local gym where I like keeping fit and lifting weights. I am very practical and can turn my hand to most DIY including carpentry, electrical and plumbing tasks.
