After the realization set in that I will probably not win the lottery or become a professional athlete in any capacity. I then began focusing on a more feasible dream for myself. I wanted a culture, not a bunch of off-white cubicles or a 9-5 with the same old routine. Then it hit me, advertising. What a whirlwind of emotions and colorful personalities. It is where being odd and free spirited is praised instead of bottled up and forgotten. That is where I wanted and needed to be. Throughout my years in the ad agency world, I have worn many hats whether it be media planner, fire fighter (not literally), last minute birthday cake buyer, strategic thinker and tactical creator. I love knowing that today will not be the same as yesterday and that an agency is only as good as the societal misfits that run it. Working in a fast paced, creative and crazy stressful (let's be real) industry is something I never thought I'd enjoy, but low and behold I am here and I am loving it.Additionally, I am focused on putting my passions and abilities to good use, all while keeping that overly stereotypical advertising ego out of the equation. I care about the work I put out, some times too much, but is that really a bad thing?
