In 2016, I began on my professional journey by securing my first job at a local restaurant in Norman, Oklahoma. Over the next five years, I honed my skills and gained experience in the service industry. In 2019, I enrolled in the electrical engineering program at the University of Oklahoma, seeking to expand my knowledge in the field of engineering.During the summer of 2021, I landed an internship at Valero Energy’s McKee refinery, where I was exposed to the fascinating world of engineering in their controls department.In the summer of 2022, I was selected to intern at United Dynamics in Shawnee, Oklahoma, where I worked collaboratively with a team to develop a technical data package for a brake pulser for the F-15 Fighter Aircraft. I returned the following December to complete more work. As I approached graduation with my electrical engineering degree, I found myself increasingly intrigued by software development. In the fall of 2022, I decided to pursue a degree in computer science alongside my electrical engineering studies, and have since been actively seeking internship roles in software engineering.In the summer of 2023, I engineered an iOS application named SimplyFit, which is available on the App Store. This app represents a comprehensive full-stack solution for over 11,000 people worldwide.During the summer of 2024, I completed an internship at Expedia Group where I was a mobile engineering intern working on the Expedia app (iOS).Check out my GitHub:https://github.com/samlupton
