Coordinator for two federally funded SAMHSA grants and two from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health. The two SAMHSA grants focused on HIV and sexual health education for LAUSD middle and high school students and suicide prevention training for adults that worked with youth. The LAC DPH grants focused on delivering substance abuse prevention education to students in LAUSD middle schools and high schools, as well as to parents and school staff. Accountable for 8 staff activities to meet each grant’s goals and deadlines. Worked closely with the Program Supervisor to communicate regular updates, coordinate project milestones, and successfully execute the yearly budget for respective grants.Through the SAMHSA Project FAIR program, we certified 25 Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) Trainers (32 hours of training) and trained over 800 community members. YMHFA is an 8-hour in-person training for adults who work with youth on how to assist and support youth in crisis.
