My investment career has centered on applying statistical tools and machine learning techniques to build return and risk models in the public equity markets. I manage quantitative equity portfolios on behalf of some of the world's premier institutional investors. In addition to technical skills (model building and evaluation, portfolio construction, attribution), I have a great deal of experience articulating complex investment processes to diverse audiences.I was an early adopter of the S statistical programming language (the predecessor to R) and maintain a keen interest in algorithmic prediction models and their impact on industry, the workplace, politics, and society.I am also an active angel investor and participant in the Boston start up community.
