Having experienced severe anxiety and depression as a child and young adult, I understand the many ways in which these conditions can be triggered and exacerbated by factors related to work and family life, inevitably playing havoc with our creativity—leaving us exhausted.As a Mentor at the Creative Well, I hope to use my life experience, empathic nature and musical talent to help other creatives take back control of their mental health. The Galaxie is a family-run hotel located in Summertown, Oxford, with thirty-five rooms. Working with the Harries-Jones family, I managed a tight knit team in the running of one of the cosiest, most unique destinations in the city. After being approached by the family while working as a Sales Assistant in a menswear shop (Burrows & Hare, Oxford), I seized the opportunity to manage the hotel, but after six months decided to move on. I drum in a band called Is Bliss. We are signed to independent label Club AC30 and have released three records to date (2 EPs & 1 LP). Our biggest shows so far have been supporting The Jesus and Mary Chain at Bournemouth O2, opening the main stage at Liverpool Psych Fest and headlining the Seaside Stage at Victorious Festival, Portsmouth. We've also toured Europe, playing various venues across France, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands.
