I specialise in creating brand identities, websites and print for startups and growing businesses.

Because Precept are an integrated brand communications agency, my role as a designer was varied, challenging and exciting.One of my key roles was to help new clients lay the foundations for their brand identity. Whether they were looking for a brand refresh, or starting a new business, first steps were often taken through a series of workshops. I was able to work on the majority of these workshops during my time at Precept. Not only did it help me to grasp a clear understanding of the client’s needs and requirements, it was also an excellent way to start building relationships.The design responsibilities that I undertook were across both the digital and print fields. This included creating initial visual identity concepts for startup businesses through to designing a user journey for an established brand’s new responsive website. Projects I worked on were managed collaboratively between designers, web developers, copywriters and creative directors. This meant that I was able to have direct contact with clients, ensuring communication was honest and had clarity.Because the design industry changes on a daily basis, during my time at Precept I have become accomplished at using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, as well as new and exciting design software such as Sketch App, Webflow and Invision.

The time spent at The Blyth School provided me with the perfect platform to develop my design skills within a professional, working environment. I was able to work on and design a variety of literature for the College as well as Schools within The Blyth School Network. I also experienced working as a Teaching Assistant with Students in College, focussing particularly on the IT and Art Departments.
