About Samuel Rolland
In my Senior Lecturer role, I look after the year in industry scheme in the College of Engineering. My role include helping the students prepare for their year in industry placement and the follow-up throughout their year out. I also teach the finite element method (theory and practice) at the undergraduate level. I am to develop links with the companies hosting our students for the benefit of our future cohorts and to foster research opportunities through which we can support companies in their R&D requirements. CurrentI am currently working in a senior lecturer role. I am dedicated to the year in industry scheme in the College of Engineering. I aim to build links with the companies hosting our fantastic students on their placements for lasting partnerships. The scheme can be a source of new talents for companies and an opportunity to find out about the research support that the University can offer to underpin industrial R&D activities. My teaching roles include the preparation of the students for their placement and the finite element method (theory and practice, undergraduate level).
